Got a few too many t-shirts and don't know what to do with them? This is the blog post for you! Today, we're discussing some creative wholesale DIY ideas to upcycle and repurpose the t-shirts and the bottom of your dresser. Of course, you can use a gently used t-shirt or get bulk-ordered t-shirts and make it a party!
It's time to get your creative juices flowing and look at your tees in a new light. Here are four creative wholesale DIY ideas that bring new life to your t-shirts.
DIY Dog Toy
Who doesn't love a good homemade dog toy? This creative use for an old t-shirt ensures hours of fun with you and your pup. This cute octopus dog toy is a great way to give an old tennis ball a new leash on life. If your pooch is a strong chewer and has torn the fuzz from their favorite tennis ball, this project can help repurpose the old slobbery.
To create your DIY t-shirt dog toy, you'll need the following items:
- An old tennis ball
- Sharp scissors
- A t-shirt
With a few cuts of your scissors and some creative braiding, you'll have a brand-new toy in no time. Check out our instructional video to learn the step-by-step process.
DIY Scarf Vest
Moving to the more fashionable side, you can create a no-sew scarf vest using your favorite oversized t-shirt in a few minutes. You'll need a very sharp pair of scissors and a t-shirt for this project. We recommend a few sizes larger than your typical tee to provide maximum flowiness and extra room.
You'll begin by removing the sleeves and side seams from your t-shirt. You can remove the bottom hem if you want, depending on your desired aesthetic. Then, carefully remove the collar by making a small cut at first. After that, place both arms through the new collar hole, and voila! Enjoy your new homemade scarf vest.

DIY Creative Frilly T-Shirt Pillow
Hate spending so much on throw pillows? Why not turn your favorite t-shirt into a new couch cuddler with a cute, frilly design? This upcycled pillow is super simple and will help transform your living space into a cozy paradise. All you'll need is:
- A t-shirt
- Sharp scissors
- A square or rectangle pillow form
- A marker or fabric pen
First, ensure you have the right size t-shirt for your pillow. You can test this by placing your pillow form in the center of your t-shirt. You should have around three to four inches of material on all sides of the pillow. Once you have the correct size t-shirt, remove the bottom hem and cut into the armpit on your t-shirt. After this, make two cuts along the sides, leaving you with two square pieces of fabric.
Next, take your marker and outline your pillow form. This helps you know how deep to cut your strips of fabric later on. Now, remove your pillow form and begin cutting small strips to the outline of your pillow. Do this all the way around and throw away the corner scraps. After you're done cutting, place your pillow between your fabric and tie the cloth strips into double knots enclosing the pillow form. That's it! You now have a brand new pillow from materials lying around your house.
