Champion P800 Men's Powerblend® Open-Bottom Sweatpants with Pockets

Not every pair of sweatpants needs to hug your ankles. These have a relaxed, open-bottom leg that hangs straight down, so they look a little more put together than the classic cuffed kind and slide easily over sneakers or slippers. They’re made from Champion’s Powerblend fleece, a 9-ounce mix of cotton, polyester and recycled polyester that’s soft and warm without being so heavy you overheat on the couch.

The covered elastic waistband has a drawcord inside, so you can cinch it up without a cord flapping around the front. The side pockets are reinforced with bartacks, which are small, tight stitches at the corners that keep the pockets from tearing when you jam your phone, keys and a handful of snacks in there. Champion’s signature “C” logo sits on the left hip, a nice detail that’s been part of the brand’s look for decades.

Champion also put some thought into how these are made. The cotton comes from a member of the U.S. Cotton Trust Protocol, the dyes are OEKO-TEX certified low-impact dyes, and most colors ship without plastic polybags. Sizes run from S to 2XL, and if you want to complete the set, the Champion Powerblend Pullover Hoodie (S700) and Powerblend Crewneck Sweatshirt (S600) are made from the same cozy fleece.
