Description of DRI DUCK 5020 / #64067
A brand-new canvas jacket usually has all the flexibility of a cardboard box. DRI DUCK gets around that with Boulder Cloth, a 12-ounce cotton canvas that’s quarry washed before it ever reaches you. The wash takes the stiffness down a notch and gives the fabric a worn-in look right away, so it feels less like breaking in a jacket and more like pulling on one you’ve owned for years.
Inside is where things get cozy. The lining is a diamond-quilted, brushed tricot with polyfill insulation, soft enough that you might catch yourself wearing it around the house on cold weekends. The three-piece hood is shaped to sit closer to your head instead of flopping around like a sack, and the rib-knit cuffs and trim have a little spandex in them, so they hug your wrists and waist to keep the wind from sneaking in. Articulated elbows are built with a slight bend, which means swinging a hammer, coiling a hose or tossing hay doesn’t pull the sleeves halfway up your arms.
Pockets are everywhere. The oversized front pouch pockets swallow gloves, a thermos lid and a few granola bars without complaint, and inside you’ll find snap-close patch pockets plus a dedicated spot for your phone. The whole jacket is triple-needle stitched, and DRI DUCK added a heavy-duty zipper pull you can grab with gloves on. With sizes from S to 6XL, it fits ranch hands, landscapers, delivery drivers and anyone else whose office happens to be outside.
