Independent Trading got its start in action sports back in 1987, and that skate-shop, screen-printer DNA shows up all over this hoodie. It’s an 8.5-ounce midweight fleece with a 100% cotton face, so the outside gives ink a smooth surface to grab onto, while the cotton/poly blend underneath keeps it soft and holds its shape. It’s warm enough for bonfires and chilly mornings, but not so heavy that you’re sweating the second you walk indoors.

The details are what keep it in rotation. The hood is lined with jersey, so it feels soft against your ears instead of scratchy fleece, and the drawcord runs through metal eyelets that won’t fray out after a few washes. Every seam is split-stitched with a double needle, twill tape runs along the inside of the neck, and the 1x1 ribbing at the cuffs and waistband snaps back into place instead of stretching out.
